Goodbye, Murph, rest in peace.

It is with a heavy heart that today we report the passing of Murphyn “Murph” Henar.  Murph was known to many visitors, having worked within the dive industry at Buddy Dive for over two decades.

Murph was known as the Gentle Giant.  One never saw him without a smile on his face, and his positive life attitude was infectious.  One just couldn’t be anything but happy when in the company of Murph.  Even when struggling with the curve balls that life always throws, Murph kept going. He was an inspiration to many on Bonaire.

Murph worked at Buddy Dive as a Divemaster and Boat Captain, starting in 1993.  He assisted thousands of visiting divers over the years and helped the resort grow their diving product.

Murph will be sorely missed.  Our hearts go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.

Rest in Peace
