There’s always something new to explore and have fun with while on Bonaire! The newest innovation is Belly Dancing Classes!
Classes begin March 28, 2018, at GoGreen Center.
This is the perfect opportunity to get fit, or exercise while you are visiting while having lots of fun! Belly Dancing classes begin at GoGreen Center (Kaya Gobernador N. Debrot #49) on March 28, 2018, and will be held weekly on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 PM. Classes are taught be instructors Sasha and Dragana.
Why is Belly Dancing great exercise for you?
Belly Dancing is a non-impact weight-bearing exercise and is suitable for all ages. Most of the moves involve isolations, which improves the flexibility of the torso. Belly Dance moves are beneficial to the spine, as the full-body wave motion lengthens and strengthens the entire spinal column and abdominal muscles in a gentle way.
The arm movements help to build strength in the upper body, arms, and shoulders. This form of dance also trains fingers to work independently and builds strength. The legs and long muscles of the back are strengthened by hip movement.
Attend one class, or dance each week.
You can attend one class, or attend a series of classes, so it’s quite individualized. However, class size is limited, so it is recommended that you contact GoGreen to let them know you will be attending.
Comfortable clothing is called for so that you are not restricted in movement. Cost for individual classes is $17.50 per person, or a ten-visit block, good for three months, can be purchased for $150.00.
