Bonaire celebrates PADI Women’s Dive Day this Saturday with a free event.
The health of our planet starts inside each one of us. In honor of this truth, Dive Friends Bonaire, Mindful Diver, and many other wellness-focused organizations and individuals are coming together this Saturday, July 21st to share their love of healthy humans and healthy oceans, in honor of this year’s PADI Women’s Dive Day.
This free event will begin with a reef safe sunscreen demo using a product from the female-owned sunscreen brand Stream2Sea. Afterward, there will be a pre-dive yoga session on the beach led by Sarah Wilner, creator of the Mindful Diver PADI Distinctive Specialty. Directly following the yoga session, all women are encouraged to grab their dive or snorkel gear and hop in the water for one of the largest all-female fun dives/snorkel events the island has ever seen. After time on Bonaire’s fantastic reefs, participants are invited to a potluck meal on the beach, where everyone can bring their favorite healthy foods to share and connect with other women living on, or visiting, Bonaire.
The event will close in the afternoon with a raffle, which includes prizes from wellness-focused businesses on Bonaire such as Bon Bida Gym, Sorobon Beach Resort, Jane Bakx Yoga, Yoga Sensible Bonaire, Royal Tours, Bonaire Shore Diving Made Easy, Body/Mind Bonaire, Yogariba, Smiling Buddha Yoga Studio, Go Green Holistic Center, Irie Sports and Wellbeing Bonaire, Simple Yogi, and Nature’s Discount Bonaire.
To join this event, diving is not necessary, and all women who love the ocean are welcome to come to enjoy the music, yoga, and company, or just hang out on the beach or snorkel. Whether you live on the island or are visiting, let’s unite to show the world that Bonaire knows Healthy Bodies and Healthy Oceans go together!
