Bonaire’s Grand Carnival (Karnaval) Parade delights residents and visitors alike.

Feathers, sequins, glitter, and high energy were the orders for the day during Bonaire’s Grand Carnival (Karnival) Parade, held this past weekend on Saturday in Rincon and Sunday in Kralendijk. Six different groups danced their way past spectators, and overall, everyone had a great time.

Carnival (Karnaval) time is coming to a close for 2020, but you still have a few chances to enjoy this annual event. The youth will give their Farewell Parade tonight, and the adults will reprise their parade Tuesday evening, ending in the Stadium with the burning of King Momo!

If you haven’t yet watched the parade, be sure to get to Kralendijk tonight or tomorrow for the final events, or you’ll have to wait a whole year for the next opportunity!
