Bonaire island has new license plates.
The Finance Department of the Island Government (Public Body Bonaire) has recently advised that new vehicle license plates are available for pickup between the dates of June 17 and 28, 2019.
The department has taken all steps to minimize inconvenience as much as possible for those needing to collect their Bonaire license plates. Extra staff is available to assist, and the department will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM for the collection of the Bonaire license plates.
When to go.
Between the dates of June 17 through 28, 2019, residents and/or business with no more than four vehicles may pick up their new plates without an appointment. Those who are unable to collect their new Bonaire license plates during this period can telephone for an appointment to do so. Residents and/or companies with more than four vehicles in their name may collect their plates by appointment between July 1 and August 31. Call +599 717-5330 extension 2637, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The department tries to process requests by e-mail within one working week.

Here, your verification data will be controlled, and then, once all is deemed well, you will be able to pick up your new license plates at a counter nearby.
What to bring.
Please check to make sure you have original documents of these items with you. You will not need to leave original documents, but the office must see originals. Please note that an online document, such as that for online bank payments, is considered an original document.

- Proof of valid vehicle insurance.

Ensure you make payment in advance for the Bonaire license plates fee.
The fee covering the issuance of the new vehicle license plates is $8.40 for vehicles or $5.60 for motorcycles. This can be paid online using the following accounts. Be sure your payment order includes both your license plate number and your CRIB number.

Residents: Donate your plates to the Bonaire Animal Shelter!
Residents are encouraged to bring their old Bonaire license plates to Carib Inn. For many years, Bruce Bowker, owner and manager of the Carib Inn, has sold the license plates to visiting tourists and donated 100% of the proceeds to the Bonaire Animal Shelter. For those living on Bonaire, drop off the old plates at Carib Inn, and a cat or dog who is awaiting their forever home will thank you.
Visitors: Keep your collection of Bonaire license plates going!
Drop by Carib Inn on your next visit to Bonaire, and purchase one of the vintage license plates. Once again, you’ll have the thanks and love of a kitten or puppy, or senior cat or dog, from the animal shelter who is awaiting a new home.
