NEW IN BONAIRE Kralendijk, Bonaire – (January 3, 2005) – The Dutch Caribbean island of Bonaire offers something for everyone including exciting activities, new dining options and great packages for divers and families. Around the Island JIBE CITY – Jibe City, one of Bonaire's windsurfing shops, is now an ABK instruction school. ABK will be teaching full time beginning in 2005 in addition to offering their yearly winter clinics. Jibe City equipment has also been upgraded with Skinny masts on sails up to 6.0, plus all rigs have Chinook booms and the boards are all Hi Fly now. For more information visit www.jibecity.com. KING OF THE CARIBBEAN 2005 – Bonaire has been tapped to host the Professional Windsurfing Association’s (PWA) inaugural event for 2005, May 15-22. Building on the successes of the last two years in which Bonaire hosted the King of the Caribbean Freestyle Pro-Am, the PWA in conjunction with the Bonaire Sailing Foundation has decided to reschedule the King of the Caribbean (KOTCaribbean) event to May 15-22. RINCON WEBSITE – A new website providing all of the information a visitor to Bonaire needs to learn about, explore and enjoy the Rincon area has been launched at www.InfoBonaire.com/rincon. This site, designed by Caribbean Design & Marketing, highlights the different cultural events, marketplaces, shops, restaurants and tours this historic area offers. The site features 20 participating businesses with photos and a map of the area showing where each is located. Complimentary internet hosting is provided by Tourist Corporation Bonaire and NetTech, N.V. The site’s primary sponsor is Maduro & Curiel’s Bank (Bonaire) with sponsor funding also provided by Fundashon Kas Boneriano and Caribbean Design & Marketing. WASHINGTON-SLAGBAAI NATIONAL PARK – This 13,500 acre National Park has announced that a number of new facilities will open to the public in the first quarter of 2005. They include an archaelogy exhibit in the museum located at the entrance to the Park (free admission) and a small library with information about the Park and Bonaire. Plus the buildings on Slagbaai will be ready to be rented for an overnight stay in the Park. The cost to stay overnight in the park will be $56.50 plus the entrance fee to the Park for the number of days spent inside the Park ($10 per person, per day). The Park cannot be used as a hotel and people booking a stay in the Park must be a registered guest at an island hotel and do this as an "extra activity.” To book a stay in the Park cal 011-599-717-8444. Treats – Restaurant News BRASSERIA BONAIRE – Located in the Royal Palm Galleries Brasseria Bonaire serves sandwiches and local fish for lunch and dinner. CHEZ LUCILLE – Chez Lucille has moved to the Harbour Village Beach Club where they serve French/Thai and International cuisine for breakfast and dinner in Kasa Coral. LA GUERNICA FISH & TAPAS – On September 27 La Guernica Fish & Tapas opened for dinner. This new restaurant serves seafood and tapas in a casual setting and is located at Kaya Bonaire 4C. WIL’S

in the center of Kralendijk BUDDY DIVE RESORT – Buddy Dive Resort has launched a new special for 2005. When booking its regular Drive & Dive Package guests will receive a complimentary upgrade to unlimited Nitrox, a savings of $99. For those divers that are not Nitrox-certified Buddy Dive will provide a Nitrox-certification course for only $99, a saving of $76. The complimentary upgrade to unlimited Nitrox is valid for travel April 1 – 14, 2005 and the entire month of May 2005. CAPTAIN DON’S HABITAT – Captain Don's Habitat announces the addition of Intermezzo Day Spa and Wi Fi hot spots to its list of guest amenities. The new day spa, Intermezzo's first location in Bonaire, offers facials, massages, scrubs, manicures and pedicures. The spa is open to guests of other resorts (free transportation to the spa is provided) and located in one of Habitat's guest cottages which has been renovated and remodeled for this purpose. Two outdoor Massage Cabanas have also been built to enable people to enjoy select spa service outdoors and an exercise room with exercise equipment is now offered. Located on the ocean next to Sand Dollar Condominium Resort, Den Laman Condominiums will offer 16 apartments including studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments, a restaurant on the ground floor, dive shop on property (Bonaire Dive & Adventure) and a full service photo shop (Fisheye Photo). Rates will be from $100 per night for a studio, $180 for a one-bedroom unit and $220 for a two-bedroom oceanview and $250 for a two-bedroom oceanfront unit. DIVI FLAMINGO BEACH RESORT & CASINO – Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino has been busy resurfacing one of its pools, building a new dive dock and lockers, enlarging its casino and updating its meeting room. In 2005 divers have a choice of a 3-tank boat dive package starting at $849, a 2-tank boat dive package from $779, or an unlimited shore diving package priced from $799 including a double cabin pick-up.
